Project
Management Professional (PMP)
The Project Management Institute (PMI) ensures, through certification, that PMPs
are skilled, knowledgeable, and experienced project managers. To obtain a PMP, one
must meet or exceed the following requirements:
 Work as a project manager
for 3 of the past 6 years
Document a minimum of 4,500
hours of project management experience
Obtain a baccalaureate degree
Agree to abide by the Code
of Professional Conduct
Pass the PMP Certification
exam
Continue to maintain 60 hours
of continuing education every three years
